ABOUT THIS REFERENCE
Editorial standards
Useful biographical information should be clear about its sources, dates and limits.
Use dates for historical claims
The biography and career pages identify former roles as historical and attach dated company sources. A past appointment does not establish a current job title. When an announcement date differs from an effective date, the career record distinguishes them.
Keep names and roles precise
Company names are retained in full where needed to identify the issuer. Qualifiers such as “acting” stay with the role. A personal profile, a corporate entity and an education program are described separately.
Link readers to the source
Readers should be able to inspect the company record behind a historical statement. The source-reading guide explains the date and issuer fields used on this website. Issuer disclosures are not described as regulatory endorsements.
Preserve the article record
The article library retains articles published on the previous version of the website, including their original URLs and dates. A preserved article reflects the information and perspective in that article; its original publication date is visible. Archiving an article does not make every time-sensitive statement current.
The byline records the attribution displayed in the original publishing system. A website migration does not create a new author or a new publication date.
Program information has its own context
This website links to the scholarship, grant and giving programs for their individual requirements. A past announcement or deadline is not treated as proof of a current application round.
Request a correction
Send the page URL, the statement in question and a supporting source to info@suneetsingal.net. Include the date of the source and explain whether the issue concerns an incorrect fact, an outdated statement or a broken link. A source can then be assessed in its original context.
